HOT BED PRESS – Coronavirus lockdown

We are currently looking to re-open in June. The stage 3, further easing of lockdown measures will come into place ‘no earlier’ than 17th May, with more announcements around a week earlier. We will await these announcements before setting a definite date to reopen.

We remain committed to keeping staff, members and everyone safe and will be working hard to keep on getting Hot Bed Press ready to welcome back members and get back to some sense of normality and creativity.

The Complete Printmaker 2021

We are pleased to once again be running the Complete Printmaker from 10th May 2021. The courses, (a morning and an evening version of the course), are both now fully booked up. In fact the courses were both full within 2 days of advertising from just one bulletin, and we have had to tur people away. We are restricting numbers to 14 on the daytime and 12  on the evening for safety, [compared to 16 on each in previous years].

We are taking reserve bookings and advanced interest for 2022, for which we already have a growing list. Get in touch if you want to get early notice of the course which will be advertised later this year and will start in February or March 2022.

The Complete Book Arts 2021

We are planning for a condensed/abridged version of The Complete Book Artist course to run from September for 20 weeks. More to be announced soon.

We are also planning a gradual return to normal running including reopening to members in June, (all being well), and planning weekend and evening courses from June/July. We can’t suddenly reopen to everyone, much as we’d like to. We are taking it steady and carefully.

In the meantime we are continuing improvements and investing in new equipment to make the workshop even better and have painted top to bottom over the last 12 months. We have now taken delivery of 5 brand new screen beds from our friends at Kippax, so the screen room is looking really top class.

All the best & stay safe
