Summer Courses 2008 We still have courses running until September in the summer programme, but there are no places left I am afraid. In fact we have had 106 people booking on 13 courses, (including 3 extra courses from the original 10 planned). But do not fret we are now planning the winter programme to start in October. Details will be coming out by the end of August, and it looks to be another exciting programme with tutors like Lucy May Schofield coming back by popular demand to teach bookmaking, and Justin Sanders to introduce caustic lino to Hot Bed Press.
We have an extra wood engraving course in November when we have enticed Anne Desmet back to us for a second time. This is already booked up from the first round of bookings. However we would still like to hear if anyone else is interested in this course. if we can't get anne to commit more time to offer a course we may be able to invite another big name in the wood engraving world to come and offer their expertise. We plan all extra courses and future course programmes around demand, so don't be put off from enquiring. If you are on our mailing list then you will receive leaflets as soon as they are printed.

You will notice that there are 2 prices for courses. The reduced fee in brackets denotes members' rates and concessions. Anyone on benefits or earning below £7000p.a. is eligible to pay the lower rate. Full Print Members and Associate Members are also eligible to the lower fees. (However, this does not apply to Trial members.)
Cancellations Policy If in the unfortunate circumstances someone booked on a course cannot make it, we require 10 days notice in order to offer the place / re advertise. With at least 10 days notice we will reimburse full course fees.
However, if less than 10 days notice is given we cannot guarantee a return of the money. We try and fill the place from our reserve . If someone can take your place we reimburse you in full. Exhibitions in 2008 Our show at Touchstones in Rochdale runs until 7th September, (click on Exhibitions; A New Spirit in Printmaking in toolbar)
We are now looking forward to showing at the Central Gallery in Ashton, Tameside in September to November. Selection for that show will be invited from members between 11th and 15th August. Once again we hope to show the diversity of printmakers who produce their work at Hot Bed Press. We are already planning The Casket Works Open event for the first two weeks in November which aims to bring together Hot Bed Press, Suite Studios and Cow Lane Studios, as well as linking to all studios in the Small Pond group, in Greater Manchester. In particular we hope to create morelinks with Islington Mill across the road. |
