We have currently have 21 artists’ studios at Hot Bed Press. You don’t have to be a printmaker to have a studio here… but it helps. Artists pay on average £85.00 a month for studios that are 15ft x 12ft. We also have a few different sized spaces at different rates.

We have been full since day one, but occasionally someone moves out and we offer the space to anyone on our reserve list. there is always demand for spaces.

The 8 artists’ studios on the first floor, (in addition to the 13 on the second floor), are a mix of studios for emerging artists, (including scholarships with The University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University), and professional studios for established practising artists. 

As well as the 21 artists’ studios we have 3 separate print studios fully equipped for etching, screenprint and stone lithography, which are available for hire for £30 a day or £100 a week. These are suited to artists with special projects and periods of artistic development where an exclusive print studio where you can leave work out and be ready to print day to day will be the perfect creative platform for new work. We also have an option of supported use of these studios for those with a bit of knowledge of printmaking but needing more help and technical advice to get the best out of hiring a print studio.
