Hereās a great opportunity to get a foot in the door at The Whitworth… Iām repeating myself but itās worth repeating as the deadline has been pushed on to next Thursday 19th of May to give you a chance to get your beautiful prints togetherā¦ Ā Artists Ian Irvine and Denis Whiteside are putting together a portfolio of prints to be sold at The Whitworth Gallery. They are seeking around 6 artists from Hot Bed Press with between 4 and 6 prints available each. Any traditional print medium – Etching, Woodcut, Linocut, Screenprint, Monoprint will be considered.
All prints should be MOUNTED or professionally presented and wrapped in cellophane to protect against handling. Commission on sales is 25% The maximum size including mount is A2 – 594mm x 420mm Minimum size of mount is A4 – 297 x 210mm Anything in between these sizes is ok, so A3 is ideal. There should be a range of sizes to choose from.
Submissions are to come through Hot Bed Press; prints only. The selection will be made by artist Ian Irvine on 19th of May. Weād love to see a few more people submit work for this and are aware that we maybe didnāt give enough notice, so if you were thinking about it, nowās the time to act. Just bring along your selection of prints and weāll house them snug in a little planchest ātil next Thursday.
