A BIG THANKYOU to all those who came to Hot Bed Press last Friday and Saturday for our print jamboree. We sold lots of prints and letterpress.
Despite the rain we had a really good turnout and we sold over £3,000 worth of prints and print paraphernalia! For a rainy evening and day in August to take over £3,000 is outstanding. The sale raised just over £2,000 for Hot Bed Press and £1,000 to artists.
As usual the money raised will be invested in a better workshop for everyone. We are working on big plans for 2015 and hope to announce more in the coming weeks.
We sold many of our old 20:20 prints from previous years and lots of letterpress/type, but we still have more of both. The remaining letterpress items will be sold off at The Manchester Artists’ Book Fair on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th October at MMU’s lovely Holden Gallery.
We are also selling more lovely boxes of 20:20 prints at The Northern Art Carbooty on Sunday 24th August, 12-5pm @ 1 Primrose Street Club space, hanger and courtyard,
Ancoats, Manchester, M4 6AQ. You can buy 5 prints for just £25.00 in a lovely printed box; think trendy pizza boxes.
We will be holding our usual annual open studio and another Under-The-Bed sale closer to Christmas when we will also be launching this year’s 20:20 which promises to be bigger than ever. We will have a select few new 20:20 prints to sell then.
