We are starting the year as we mean to go on. We are really pleased to announce that we have employed a second Technician to start on 5th February.
- Lois Gilbert
, known to some members already, having volunteered for some time on Wednesday afternoons, and previously from volunteering on Fridays in 2011/12, will be our second Technician.
This means that we are covered with salaried Technicians as well as supporting Studio Volunteers for every day and every open access hour.
Martin Kochany will now be Technician on Mondays to Thursdays 10.00am – 5.00pm.
Lois Gilbert will be Technician on Thursday evenings 4.00pm – 9.00pm, Fridays 10.00am – 5.00pm and the last Saturday of every month 10.00am – 5.00pm.
This expands our last Saturday cover from 5 hours; 11.00am – 4.00pm, to 7 hours; 10.00am – 5.00pm.
We look forward to welcoming Lois to our team. This is another step forward. Thinking back to 2012 when we were still pining to have a paid Technician rather than relying heavily on a team of willing and able volunteers, it seems a long time ago. Having one technician was a big step; having 2 Technicians marks another great leap forward.
