Roma Auskalnyte is currently on an internship with Hot Bed Press and you can find her printmaking and working at the workshop on Wednesdays to Fridays throughout June and July. Roma is a mixed media artist currently studying her Masters Degree at Kuvataideakatemia, The Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki.
Originally from Lithuania she studied printmaking at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. In 2012 she begun to concentrate more on the text-based art. Roma is influenced by the complexity of the language, its ability to inform and to confound the viewer.
In her art works, the means of delivery (technique, media) varies depending on the idea or the concept. Usually Roma uses printmaking combined with video, installation and occasionally photo films or book art.
