The 20:20 Print Exchange has been arriving like early Christmas presents at print workshops across the UK and Ireland and we are receiving lovely e-mails of thanks and wonder at the huge task we undertake every year.
Not only does the exchange get more people printing and using their print workshops but the exchange helps raise money for each print workshop involved from the selling of prints; each workshop receives a random box of prints for every 10 artists taking part and a twinned portfolio matching workshops up together. There have been auctions, online sales, exhibitions and print swap days.
We are really proud of how much this has grown and how many people look forward to their prints. I for one am really looking forward to seeing my selection. Hot Bed Press will be giving out the prints to all 45 members who took part from here on 5th December when we will also have a print swap session.
We will also be selling off lots of old 20:20 prints from previous years to raise much needed funds for purchasing new equipment for Hot Bed. This year we aim to buy a new, (well second-hand), screen bed and screen drying cabinet. The 20:20 sales will go alongside our Under-The-Bed Sale which usually raises around £2,000 to £3,000 a year and goes straight into new and better equipment.
The Under-The-Bed Sale/Annual open studio takes place on Friday 5th December between 6.00pm and 9.00pm and Saturday 6th December 11.00am to 5.00pm.
