We are really pleased to launch the 20:20 Print Exchange for 2013. I know, it seems like no time since the last exchange and in part that’s because it’s still on. [It is currently showing at The Print Shed in Hereford and will travel to The Bluecoat in Liverpool from 19th June to 28th July.]
Each year since we started with 20 artists in 2009 the exchange has grown and last year boasted 9,800 prints by 391 artists from 31 print workshops. We have now put the call out for artists and workshops to be involved in this year’s exchange. We have had an outstanding response to our first e-mail with 15 workshops from across the UK committing to take part so far. We expect it to be at least 30 workshops again this year, especially as we have already seen 4 new workshops coming on board and enquiries about the exchange from a few others.
So, we are off and running! There’s plenty of time before the deadline for getting prints in; that’s not until 1st November, but we are getting the notice out there in good time to give printmakers from across the UK the thinking and planning time for this years editions.
