We have an exciting range of new courses out starting in February and will be answering enquiries from 2nd January.
With Table-Top Textiles,Ā Photo-screen and Typewriter Art in such high demand Ā last ‘season’ we just had to bring them back again. It was great to see a packed workshop looking completely different and full of vibrancy; from looking like a busy typing pool to being adorned with colourful lengths of fabric on every window and wall.
We are also repeating the taster sessions with courses over 2 evenings for just Ā£55. These courses give a basic introduction to the possibilities of print and teach you enough to go on and carry on printing in our lovely workshop. This time we have varied the offering by making them one day courses on a Sunday; Come and experience Monoprinting, Drypoint/Carborundum, Collagraphs or Relief Printing.Ā
We are really pleased to bring back letterpress and though it was sad to see the retirement of Graham Moss who has given so much to make our letterpress courses a huge success, it’s also great to change things around a bit and welcome Elizabeth Willow to teach A Taste of Letterpress. Towards the end of the programme too in April we are introducing Letterpress for Designers where you can typeset your own CD cover and get a bespoke image block made and printed.
Also introducing Life Printing; 4 evenings of life drawing directly into print. This unique course offers the best of both worlds. jeni Nuttall will take you through 3 different print processes working directly from Ā a life model.
Bookmaking For Artists, (level 1), gives a great new approach to making books, with folding and stitching techniques and book compositions taught in a friendly yet structured way.
