New Courses for 2013 out now!

Happy New Year! Happy new courses. We are really pleased to announce that we have now set an exciting new set of courses starting in February.

Table Top Textiles, Painterly Screenprinting and Typewriter Art are straight back in by popular demand and we are also running taster courses again. This time around taster courses will be held as one day courses on Sundays covering Expressive Monoprint, Drypoint/Carborundum, Collagraphs and Relief Printing.

We are really pleased to welcome back letterpress courses to Hot Bed Press. We had a brief break from them for the last programme. Sadly Graham Moss of Incline Press has ‘retired’ from teaching to concentrate on personal projects. We wish him all the best and thank him for his untiring support and expertise in helping us set up the letterpress here at Hot Bed. We have been working towards getting the right people in to fill his considerable boots.

Happily we have managed to get Elizabeth Willow, (our book artist in residence for 2012), to start running letterpress for beginners. A Taste of Letterpress will run on 17th February. We have taken the opportunity also to expand how we teach letterpress and have invited David Armes, (our typesetter in residence for 2012), to run a Letterpress for Designers course introducing how to incorporate images and typeset text and print CD covers.

We are also really pleased to introduce Life Printing. Learn to print directly from the life model in this unique course over 4 evenings covering direct monoprint, drypoint and waterless litho.

There’s so much more with Photo-screen, Book Making For Artists, (level 1), Etching, Presentation Box Making, Mezzotint and Photo-polymer Printing.

Bookings are already coming in and places are strictly limited. For more details contact Sean or Andy on 0161 743 311 or by e-mail at info@hotbedpress.org

Thanks once again to our sponsors; Turners of Stockport, Screenstretch, Ratchfords Book Arts Suppliers and Intaglio Printmaker of London. They help us to offer the best materials we can on every course.
