We are pleased to announce a national/international print exchange exclusively for print workshops.

In 2009 ten keyholder members took part in an exchange with Red Hot Press in Southampton. Titled 20:20 ten printmakers from Red Hot Press produced editions of original prints. All 20 participants received a hand-made portfolio filled with 20 prints, (one from each participant).

We are now poised to take this wonderful exchange a step further and have written to a number of other print workshops inviting them to take part. We hope to get at least 10 workshops involved.

The exchange will take place in November 2010 with each printmaker producing 24 prints that are on paper 20cm x 20cm. Each artist will receive a portfolio of one of their own prints plus 19 other prints selected at random; no artist will get an identical portfolio.

The £50 Print Sale

sale extended!

Saturday 26th June was a scorcher! Sales were pretty hot too. We raised £1,250 on the day, which was excellent. This has now risen to £1,400!

All of the money raised will be going towards new equipment at Hot Bed, which will be purchased in the next few weeks. We now have a new larger screen bed.

Some artists' prints sold very fast, such as the Anne Desmett wood engravings, (which we had one each of 3 prints), and the beautiful prints by Emma Gregory, and Ruth Thomas; all 3 selling out of all prints donated. But it's not over. Other editions sold really well, but we haven't completely sold out of the edition of 10 of each.

It was great to see such a flurry of activity, especially at the start of the day, when we sold 15 prints within 40 minutes of opening.

We are keeping the work up for a month plus keep our browser exclusively for the £50 print sale; but when they are gone, they are gone! But you still have a chance to bag a bargain.  

Prints have been created exclusively for this sale and everything is £50 each. This is really a bargain; from small edition 3 to 4 colour screenprints to photo-etchings, relief prints, gum arabic transfer prints and multi-layered prints.
