Studio Hire Card / Materials voucher
In order to keep things as easy to use as possible we operate a voucher scheme which can be used to pay for sessional usage and materials. You simply buy a studio hire card and a materials voucher which can be used for all materials, ink use etc.
Hours
Studio Hire Cards cost £20.00. Studio usage is just £2.50 per hour, each card being for 8 hour cards, which must be purchased in advance. When you are nearing the end of your card you will be reminded to bring in cash or a cheque to purchase another card next time you are in. [The cost of these cards will go up in January to £2.75 an hour; i.e. £22 a card for 8 hours]
Materials
Materials cards cost £10.00. We have a large selection of inks, specialist papers and much more, all at very reasonable prices. When a member arrives to work at the studio they pick up a ‘daily bill sheet’ and writes their name and time of arrival. This sheet has a few outline costs and can be used to keep a track of materials and hours used. Towards the end of your session, (perhaps when you are clearing up, for which you should allow plenty of time), you should hand this in to a Studio Manager to ‘tot up’, and to cross off your card/s.
You are welcome to bring your own materials, but we have everything you should need.
Storage
We have a large selection of drawers and storage boxes available for hire for just £1.00 a month/ £12.00 a year. This allows you to bring materials in and keep them here. The plan chest drawers mean that you do not have to keep taking prints home. Although we do have a lot of drawers we have a lot of members so drawer and storage box availability is strictly on what is available. When someone vacates a drawer we will notify anyone on a reserve list for a drawer.
Drawers and storage boxes are hired on a yearly basis between 31st January and 1st February.
