We have confirmed our courses to start off the programme in 2016. There’s lots of new courses and twists to seasoned favourites. We will be announcing and publicizing them all in January and taking bookings. The season starts off with Introduction to Printmaking over 5 Wednesday evenings from 17th February and covers, monoprinting, drypoint, collagraph, and carborundum and is run by our very own Martin Kochany. The first weekend courses start with Introduction to Screenprinting with Mandy Tolley and Japanese Woodblock Printing with Lucy May Schofield; both on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st February.
Also on the programme will be Hardbacked Books, Poster Printing, Type-O-Matic; typewriter art, Repeat Pattern, Copper Plate Etching, Clamshell Box Making, Photo-etching, Multi-block Lino and Drawn To Screen – direct approaches to screenprinting. We round the season off with a talk on The United Types of America a fascinating guided tour of letterpress workshops in the USA by David Armes.
We will be putting full details of these courses on the website and sending out a bulletin to all on our database in the first week in January and expect a flurry of bookings as usual.
Please note that we will not be taking bookings or answering enquiries until 4th January, but if you are not on the database already send us an e-mail or sign up through the website so that you receive information as soon as it is announced.
We look forward to the seeing as many of you as possible in the New Year.
